Hey Everyone,

So, last week I had a chance to venture into the "country" realm a little, and, interestingly enough, it was to film a Christmas special for CMT (Country Music Television). The show is the Jason McCoy Christmas special "Christmas In Calgary" to be aired later in the year (obviously!!). Ya......it was kind of weird to be performing Christmas songs at the beginning of April, but it was a great time nonetheless.

Jason McCoy was great to work with and a fun guy to talk to, plus I had a chance to hang out a bit with Colin James and Rik Emmett as well (remember the 80's rock band "Triumph"??). These guys were all a treat to work with,,,,,it was a very cool experience all around. There were some stressful moments for me I'll tell ya, as I was doing a lot of transcribing of music and charting horn and rhythm section parts in a short amount of time.......whew......a few more grey hairs have appeared, but it all ended up working out and a few "glitches" were dealt with quickly and effectively.

I'm looking forward to seeing the final product this coming December......not sure of the date yet, but I'll let you know when I find out.
